Hi there. My name is Jeremy and I’d love to connect the dots for you
There are a lot of different things that comprise health and quality of life. Those are different for each person and full of unique limiting factors subjective to that person. We have to remember that humans are highly adaptable, but the behaviors of adherence and sustainability are the end goals for everyone. Stability, Strength, Cardiorespiratory fitness, Metabolic flexibility, Power, Speed, Nutrition, Sleep, Social engagement, Family Life, Parenting, and Agency all contribute to your health. Rather than look for more to add to ourselves and our focus, we should be searching how to remove ambiguities and anxiety. My purpose in life is to help answer those details and create the most enjoyable and fun plan to champion your journey toward better health and a quality of life. As a parent, I value the opportunity to answer these questions for our young athletes and kids, and truly believe it to be life changing education. Health and Strength are easy in practice, but sometimes tricky in application and I love to solve those puzzles.
My Approach
My approach and method to gaining full autonomy with your health is the ability to problem solve and think creatively. We shouldn’t need to rely on something and there are no barriers to achieve health. With a few weights at home, smart programming, and intention we can improve all aspects of strength, stability, function, and even hyptertrophy. The world is ever changing as well as the routines within. We have to know how to always be able to do solve the puzzle, create adherence, and add those little bits of progressive overload to keep improving. Strength is total volume and the person who does the correct 15 minutes day in and day out, will build quite a lasting impact for their strength and function physiologically. There are not devices required to do that, just the commitment to fun and consistency. The best way to learn is to watch and see yourself. Zoom, and other visual aids give you that objective ability to see where you need to change and why. These show YOUR truths and let you see those positive changes. A great question to ask first, “How is this working for me?” The future is asking those questions now to plan for the best quality of life in your marginal decade. Grip strength, Leg strength, VO2 will all impact your hobbies, engagement, and motivations later in life. How do you want to live your life 20 years from now?
for nutrition
There is no right diet for all, but there are truths in physics that apply to everyone. We have to know our calories in vs. out, but that doesn’t create success in bioenergetics or sport. Nutrition should be built upon mechanism to create a behavioral wiring change. The point is to NOT have to worry about your nutrition daily. Solve the math here and live the benefit of being present and less anxious around food. For sport this is very important. Before you optimize nutrition for your sport, you should probably nail it as a normal human in daily life. What foods make you feel the best? Perform the best? Are easy to facilitate? And, can you make a sustainable way of eating from what you find out?
Bike fitting and you
Most people are not moving perfectly in the world, so we’d be smart to remember that when thinking about optimizing a bicycle. There are three criteria to marry correctly for the best chance at fun and performance on a bike. The first is the physics of the mechanical bike and its contact points. The second is the person’s biomechanical function, stability, and mobility of their person. The third criteria is understanding those two worlds together and weighting them to perform the best way on the bike. Like sitting at the correct position in a canoe. It’s hard to guess all this, and why I love the clarity and confidence you get from a bike fit.
